The all new Quil Ceda Creek Casino will hold its grand opening on Wednesday, February 3, introducing the public to the next major gaming, dining and entertainment destination in the Northwest. The highly anticipated new casino spans 126,000-square-feet — more than twice the size of the current property across the street.

The new Quil Ceda Creek Casino Hotel will open at 10 AM Feb 3 replacing the older casino across the street that was built in 2004. The new Q will offer expanded gaming, new dining and more entertainment.

Brief History

Quil Ceda Creek Casino opened September 29, 2004. In 2017 the tribe announced plans to replace this casino with a new one and began construction in Spring 2019. The new Quil Ceda Creek Casino will open on February 3, 2021.

New Quil Ceda Creek Casino

October 12, 2020

NEW LOCATION
The existing Quil Ceda Creek Casino will be replaced by an all-new casino under construction on a 15-acre parcel just west of I-5 Exit 199 at Fourth Street and Marine Drive. The construction project totals 494,000 square feet.

NO SMOKING
The enire property is non-smoking except for designated smoking areas.

NEW CASINO
The Quil Ceda Creek gaming floor will double to 126,700 square feet. Slot machines will increase from the current 1,000 to 1,500 in the new casino.

Table games will increase to 16 and include EZ Baccarat, Craps with Fire Bet, i-Roulette and Spanish 21 Progressive.

NEW DINING
New dining venues will prepare food in advanced 'green kitchens'. Two new restaurants have been announced:

The 'The Kitchen' is a new food hall concept serving prime rib, pizza, salads, sandwiches and 24/7 breakfast. The capacity is 212 seats.

The 'The Landing' will be a casual, ala carte restaurant with a selection of menu items and multiple food stations. This is a full-service restaurant with 137 seats.

There will be three full-service bars serving drinks and appetizers.

ENTERTAINMENT
The Entertainment Lounge is larger and will seat 189 guests. There is also a private room for parties or meeting which will seat 30 guests.

PARKING
A new 6-story parking garage will provide 1,068 parking spaces. In addition there will be 684 surface parking spaces. This will increase the current 1,039 parking spaces to 1,752 new spaces.

The new QCC will will be twice as large and feature 1,500 slot machines, 16 table games, 'The Kitchen' food hall, 'The Landing' restaurant and 'The Stage' entertainment venue.

New Quil Ceda Creek Casino Construction Update

July 1, 2020

Construction of the new Quil Ceda Creek Casino was delayed in 2018 by an issue with the original building contractor. A new contractor was hired and construction began in spring 2019. The project is now on track for the casino to open in early 2021.

Ken Kettler, president and chief operating officer of the Tulalip Gaming Organization, told the press:

'Construction of the new Quil Ceda Creek Casino is on track and making considerable progress. We love having our guests back at our current property, but can't wait to show them what we mean when we say there will be 'More to Love' in their gaming, dining and entertainment experience.'

Quil Ceda Creek Casino reopens May 26

May 25, 2020

Tulalip Tribes will reopen the Quil Ceda Creek Casino at noon on Tuesday May 26, 2020 ending weeks of closure due to the corona virus pandemic.

To ensure the health safety of guests and workers, Quil Ceda Creek Casino will require everyone to wear face masks and to pass a temperature check before entering. The number of guests admitted will be limited to ensure safe social distancing.

Social distancing will also be maintained on the casino floor and in the restaurants and bars. There will be no congregating in the slots area and seating will be limited at table games.

All Qzone entertainment has been temporarily canceled.

New Quil Ceda Creek Casino may include a huge indoor water park

March 06, 2018

Tulalip is undergoing a lot of construction.

There are many projects that are being developed. One of which includes a water park that would be similar to Wild Waves.

Over the years growth has been occurring at the reservation. The new projects that are planned will be adding to this.

A new Quil Ceda Creek is being built. When finished the building will be 120,00 square feet.

The current casino is being replaced. Over the years that building has undergone renovations and expansions. However, it has not been enough to accommodate the needs of the guests.

The new casino will provide additional space for parking. The larger building will give guests more comfort to move around.

Even with the new casino project, there is still a large area of land that the tribe can develop.

Another possible project could be the creation of a new indoor water park. A feasibility study is currently underway to decide if the project should happen.

The size of the water park would be the largest in the northwest. Since the park would be indoors, that would allow for it to operate all year regardless of the outdoor weather.

In 2004 a partnership was made between the tribe a company based in California. However, the tribe later decided to end the partnership. Tribal members expressed to their board members that they did not want to allow outsiders to lease their land. Going forward on the water park project would make the tribe the only operator and owner.

There is also talk about an indoor golf course.

June 2019 is when the new casino is scheduled to be opened.
